Dray is adapting to his brand-new life. Although there's nothing wrong with that, as Remus' favorite and secretary, he hardly has any troubles here. The contract he signed is almost the most lenient one. Every day, there are demon servants to take care of his daily life and help him adapt to this world he has never been in before. The only thing he needs to do is to protect his mind and body, and help Remus handle some paperwork on the side. However, this is usually just his demon master's whim. Remus always likes to play some “game” with him in his office.

But, at times, he still misses video games, that blue sky, and those... less wild daily routines. But, as Remus told him, he would eventually get used to these things. After all, these activities are also quite common for demons.

Under normal circumstances, he is free to roam. Unless there is a gathering of marching soldiers, he can visit anywhere within the territory of Duke Berith. The magic placed on him can protect him from most of the dangers of the environment. This land is always at noon, and the blood-red sun never needs to sleep. 一般情况下，他都是自由的。除非是遇上行军士兵集结，他便可以在Berith公爵的领地内随处参观。他身上所设下的魔法可以保护他免受环境的大多数危害。这片大地永远都是正午，血红色的太阳从来都不需要睡眠。那些像肉一样的云朵会不定时的降下血雨...和新生儿。大多数情况这些家伙都会摔成碎肉。随后送到厨房去，成为大多数士兵和基层人员的口粮。而那些被穿刺在尖锐的屋顶上的肉块，则会被供给给官员以上的成员食用。

Dray在得知这些东西的时候，直接在厨房吐了出来。让整个后勤部的人都笑了很久。在接下来的一段时间里，他都没有吃过仆人端上来的菜肴。没有办法，他只能求Remus从人间回来的时候，给他带点地球食物给他凑合一下。Remus为此对他骂骂咧咧了许多次，但也从未拒绝他的这些请求。

而大多数人对Dray的态度直到一次事件则又彻底转变了过来。从此他又多了一个新的称号，“澡堂冠军”。Dray以一人之力战胜了十几个和他打赌的恶魔，打赌Dray不能让他们满意，而结果就是Dray的完全胜利。怪不得领主的儿子那么喜欢这个小老鼠凡人。大伙如此想着，便也觉得合理了。

只不过在这一次后，Dray显现出了一种不寻常的迷醉。而这种迷醉则会让凡人的灵魂劣化，让他们堕落成野兽一般的形态。他的主人Remus自然而然是不会让这种事情发生的。于是他和他的一些同僚便合力在保持Dray凡人的状态的同时，让他重归清醒。而Dray也确实成功了。还因为这一场蜕变，得到了一些不同寻常的天赋。皆大欢喜。

而接下来，Remus将作为Dray的老师，教会他如何运用他所获得的天赋。而Berith公爵在这件事情发生后，也对Dray提起了一些兴趣。一个凡人在地狱经历一些不属于他的痛苦，则会激发凡人的潜能，却又不受恶魔欲望的束缚。对于一个学者来说，这个课题相当有趣。估计他可能也会在将来像Remus一样，在人间拉几个属于他的契约者进入地狱，好进行实验。
