Meet the 26 year old tiger shark who is Zoey's “best friend forever,” Dani Santos!

Cool, laid back, calm, and just a little wayward, Dani has always been the more composed one of the duo. At least until you manage to fire her up a little. Then her rather sassy side starts showing very quickly.

She and our barkeeper lioness have been inseparable ever since their early teenage years. We are talking true “best friends forever” levels here.
The kind of friendship where both were absolutely certain that nobody and nothing would ever split them apart.

The two first met through sports, and being the older one, Dani ended up helping Zoey out more than once back then. Even though Dani has never been the most communicative person around, something about Zoey touched a very soft spot within her, and before either of them really realized it, the two became close friends. Dani has always been very protective of the people she truly cares about, especially since that number is rather small, and Zoey quickly became one of the most important ones in her life.

Still, life sometimes has different plans.

Over the past years, Dani spent her time abroad finishing her education as a professional fitness trainer, (just like what Zoey is currently still working towards).
Now, Dani is finally back in town. She started working at the local gym, (which has a very familiar Locker Room you guys are very familiar with by now) and alongside that, Dani also works as an outdoor guide on the side, leading hiking and climbing tours whenever she feels like escaping the city for a while.

And while being away helped Dani grow a lot as a person, she also realized something else during that time: her feelings for Zoey might not have been as purely friendly as she originally thought. Turns out, the shark lady is not quite as straight as she always believed… and maybe she has been looking at her best friend a little differently lately.

Fortunately for her, Zoey swings both ways as well.

So after countless late night talks, shared workouts, skating sessions, teasing banter, Dani constantly staring over at Zoey while she pulls off her barmaid flares and looks way too hot doing it, and probably one too many moments that felt “a bit too close,” the two eventually stopped pretending there was nothing more between them.

And honestly? They fit together way too well!
