Actually the triangle limit was raised in the latest patch if I'm not mistaken, so it's actually getting less strict.

Ive yet to investigate further but my triangle limit went UP and above. I think it is because of the anus mesh or something, I dont know. Again, still need to look around and figure it out. If I see one of my previous characters triangle limit which they once went up in triangles due to a patch that fixed it, go above the limit yet again, then something might be up.
