Custom key binds

I'm going to make this very simple, very clear. Customizable key binds. And a few extra controls, like ortho/persp toggle. Appearently I'm owed 30 votes a month, so if the votes accrued "as they ought to because some of us are wanderers, cooming and going, but never leaving, dropping a half dissertation now and then, cobbled wisdom and experience garnered from a life spent observing and being ever curious, and loathed all the same for it despite the thirty pieces of silver that come every month with our once a month or once a year dissertation. A pile of scribbled analysis, anaecdotes, wit, wisdom, bloviation, and a nugget or several of undeniable global human truisms, and a satchel of coin to spend the time reading it and hold one's nose thinking "what a blithering natter", unless of course, one is open to the totality of the bramble. Anyways, I digress. If votes accrued, AS THEY OUGHT TO, after two and a half years, 30+tax a month with neery a peep, I'd say I have on the order of 30 votes times 30 months; 900 votes proper, accrued, by right of the working man who silently doled out those 30 silvers a month, like clock work.

So here's the deal. I want the capacity to customize key binds and i want the capacity to toggle between perspective and orthogonal and adjust FOV. The first speaks for itself and could hardly be more than a few lines of code to implement. persp/ortho toggle would be invaluable in adjusting joint/joint chain translations (rotations primarily, positions in local and global space in particular) And FOV adjustment is just standard option on like, every FPS style title since like, quake and unreal tournament. 25 years ago.

Considering the dreck people are clamoring for like "genital penetration deformation" "Breasts/udders as an addable extra part" "Urethra penetration" and my fav "Make a slit option for males instead of balls" "Will be implemented." Warms the cockles of my ice cold heart. My requests are basic, fundamental, and invaluable in making basic UI interaction infinitely easier. /and it can be done single hand with a basic multibutton mouse with mappable macros/ as I recall someone opining regarding an industrial technique requing two hands to instantiate the key bind, totally forgetting the fact that multibutton mice with remappable macros have been a thing for at least fifteen years. oopsie doodle

So anyways, these are the simple basic modifications to the interactive scene building UI. My 900 accrued votes. If this is not implemented I will be redacting my membership promptly and entirely. And I will wait for the weight of prioritizing double dicks with vulva beneath the balls between the taint and Sextouple breasted udder laiden hermaphrodites with two foot dongs drag this project so far in to the muck because it lost sight of the most basic functions to make working all those genitalia pixel perfect posable a whole hell of a lot easier.

Hi there @kaminoneinnyet,

These suggestions aren't bad and I reckon we'll get around to implementing them, eventually. But as with all other things, it's a matter of priorities, and right now those priorities are where the majority wants us to work - interactions. Everything else is on hold until we have that.

At this point, considering how much we want to do and what we've already promised, you must understand my reluctance to promise more before the other things are already implemented.

I might point out that I'm just a single programmer, and there's only so much you can expect from one person. I'm already implementing our own physics engine, our own soft body engine and creating unprecedented systems in regards to inflation and realtime dynamics. These tasks alone are worthy of teams. But no, it's just me. (And that's not even mentioning the myriad of other systems and solutions I've implemented over the years, like the character assembly tool where you can combine body parts as you see fit, procedural texture building systems, fur shading & authoring, the backend/frontend of this server, to name a few.)

If you believe some other dev is more capable of bringing something like FurryVNE to fruition, then I can't blame you for wanting to switch over to them. (If there is, please let me know as that person must be a truly remarkable individual.) If, however, there is none, or you'd rather support some other project altogether, even if their vision is completely different, then please do not bewail the fact that no [finished] product such as FurryVNE exists, as your answer would be right there. If not even the people who want to see FurryVNE happen are willing to support it, then who will?

We're already working our asses off inventing new technology and systems, but given how we're earning far less than people doing things far easier and with far less effort, I'm starting to think we're the suckers here.

You must realize that we've sacrificed a lot for this. We gave up careers, a normal path, only to earn less than a janitor in the end. Our hope is that we can turn that around, and that's what we're working towards. It may not work out, and certainly it won't if fewer and fewer support us (which has been the trend), but at least we gave it our best shot. Our passion can only be exploited so much though, until we need to look at the facts at hand and realize other endeavors not only weigh less on our shoulders, but also compensate us better.

Before you make any rash decisions whether this amount of accumulated work is proper for two individuals to have accomplished and is worthy of your hard earned money, do me one last favor and wait until the next dev log comes out. Perhaps then you will remember that we all share something, and we're all working towards it in our own way. (And I'd like to make an argument that I'm one of those carrying the heaviest loads in this strive, and I'll happily do so, but if it comes to a point where I can't even afford living I have no choice but to reevaluate where I spend my time.)

All the best.

@odes @Dogson20 please stay as you are and take as much time as you need!! others can say whatever they want. but you are doing a wonderful job and i will see your project through to the end!

stay strong
