After numerous dark magic experimentation and genetic engineering by his queen mother Sanyah and father Brutan, Cordair has evolved throughout the years to become a proficient and powerful warrior beast meant to cause havoc and destruction in the name of the pirate cult's dark god. Many fear the unpredictable beastly nature of the hybrid for he is not known for his gentleness. ANd sometimes the most careless end up deceased because of his desires or rage.

However, even as he became ascended, his grasp on mortality had not been lost. For 12 years, he had the company of a companion, a slave who tended to the beast since his youth. One who has a dark secret of his own. Though he was protected from the more wilder hungers and tastes of the syndicate's favorite pet weapon, it was a boy named Androcles who stoked the maddening flames and showed the monster gentleness and love.

While Cordair could have been considered a failure for letting emotions get to him, he still was an asset for the syndicate. But now it was hard for anyone to approach Androcles without Cordair there to protect him.
